What to Wear to Workout
You just signed up for a gym membership, and you are about to go do your first workout. But you are staring at your closet trying to find something to wear. The key to wearing gym clothes is making sure they are comfortable and fit right.
When it comes to shoes, you want to wear shoes that will give your foot good support. Saying this, you do not want to wear flip-flops the gym. So many things can happen. You can serious injure your foot. You will be lifting weights and running on the treadmill. While lifting weights, you could drop a weight on your foot or twist your ankle on the treadmill. So what should you wear on your feet while at the gym? First of all, don’t pick a shoe based on color. This shoe may not support your foot properly. You will want to wear shoes that can support your feet. When you are out buying good training shoes you should look for a shoe that has good cushioning. You will want a shoe to absorb the impact of your foot while you are running on the treadmill. This will help your foot and knee not to hurt as much. Secondly, you will want to look for a shoe with good stability. These shoes will help support the arch in your foot. Third, buy a shoe that fits comfortably. In addition to wearing good shoes, you will want to find good athletic socks. These socks will offer additional cushioning to your feet. Many types of socks out there will soak up the perspiration from your feet to keep them cool and dry. You don’t want to be 5 minutes into your workout and have your feet start to hurt because you have on the wrong shoes and socks on.
